What Avaits on the Ostrog Monastery and Skadar Lake Tour

The most popular pilgrimage site in Montenegro, the Ostrog Monastery is an incredible feat of architecture. Carved into the mountain cliff, it is quite awe inspiring. Furthermore, as a home to the holy remains of Saint Basil (St. Vasilije Ostroški), it is one of the most famous Orthodox sites in the world. As well as a spiritual center of Montenegro.
A 1-hour long guided tour through the Ostrog Monastery reveals all of its cultural and spiritual wonders.
From there, we take a drive all the way to the edge of Skadar Lake, all the way to Rijeka Crnojevića. Deemed to be the nicest part of Skadar Lake, this peaceful town is rich in culture and history.
A scenic boat tour across Skadar Lake awaits after a replenishing lunch in this town. The boat tour is followed by a pleasant walk around Pavlova strana, the most popular viewpoint of Lake Skadar National Park. And, this is where we have our next photo stop – at one of the most photographed sites in Montenegro.
A few more phot breaks await us during our drive back to Kotor. Thus, you get to revel in stunning views along the way, taking photos of Cetinje and the Budva Riviera.
